We’re delighted to share some wonderful news from Copleston: an incredible £1,416 was raised at Saturday’s bookstall – an amazing achievement for a community-run event.
The stall was buzzing all morning, packed with people browsing tables filled not just with books, but also cakes (and more cakes!), Christmas wreaths, cards, homemade jams, chutneys and marmalade, and even plants. We were also delighted to receive a donation for a second of Peter’s much-loved lemon trees, which proved especially popular.
It was heartening to see so many people come along to support the stall, with a noticeable increase in younger visitors this time too – a great sign for future events.
A huge thank you and congratulations to the wonderful organisers behind the bookstall, especially Ruth and Elaine, whose hard work and commitment made the morning such a success. The organisers are truly an amazing group of women with very big hearts, and this result is a testament to their efforts.
Finally, thank you to everyone who donated, baked, browsed and bought. Your support makes moments like this possible. And if you missed out this time, do look out for the next bookstall event in February – we hope to see you there. 📖💕
