What we do

At Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers (SDCAS), we aim to promote the wellbeing of asylum seekers, refugees and migrants.

Our day centres provide safe spaces for clients to access free, holistic services. We provide hot lunches, advice and support around health, housing, immigration, education and employment, and a range of social and wellbeing activities.

Our mission

Our mission is to relieve poverty and promote the wellbeing of asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants in the London Borough of Southwark.

To achieve this mission, we strive to develop a better and wider understanding of our clients’ needs.

We welcome all asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in need of support, advice or facilities, regardless of the reason.

Our values

In every aspect of our work, we aim to be:

  • respectful and compassionate
  • inclusive and anti-discriminatory
  • empowering
  • community-based

"They help, they really help. They are interested... they are looking for another way to help out."
