Since launching this campaign on 7th September we have received one off donations totalling £71,999 through various routes – the Crowdfunder page itself, Donorbox donations, direct bank transfers, our Just Giving page and the GALA prize draw.
Beyond online and in the real world, our September concert was the most successful ever; London City Voices sang in support of us; the Dulwich runners got their trainers out in our name; and Robert Wright cycled a mammoth 100 miles. Last weekend, the Autumn Bookstall once again returned to Copleston.
And the fundraising continues! Abigail Ashford is swimming the length of the channel throughout October, and in November Nunhead Community Choir are performing at the Rivoli Ballroom with ticket sale proceeds donated to SDCAS.
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated rewards, money and time, or has shared this page with their friends and family. It is truly heartening to have the support of the community as we navigate this challenging financial climate.

Ultimately the success of this campaign means we can continue to support clients, all of whom are navigating an increasing hostile climate. Whilst we explore more long-term funding routes, the SDCAS doors can stay open a little longer and we can continue to be a safe place for people to seek the help they need.
With a backdrop of racist rhetoric and attacks on asylum seekers nationally, it means so much that over 800 people have contributed to this page in support of asylum seekers in Southwark.
